A poem a day in April from Rutgers English PhD students and friends.

Say "Port Authority"

ten times fast and you're in
purgatory. JUDGMENT DAY
IS COMING MAY 21, 2011
"The Bible Guarantees It"
as does George Zimmer
of the Men's Wearhouse.
Georg Simmel writes
For, to be a stranger
is naturally
a very positive relation;
it is a specific form
of interaction.
"You Don't Need A PhD
To Read This Label"
boasts the drink
without taurine.
It looks like a Big Gulp
and I take one.
You don't know me,
JuiceCo, nor why I
walk the tunnel.
You Don't Need A PhD
in purgatory
but the texts are manifold
and trifold
and you get to try out
your Jesus smile
when you say No, thanks.

  1. "Sign, sign, everywhere a sign, blocking out the scenery, blowing my mind. Do this, don't do that, can't you read the sign?" Thanks for sharing!
