Show of Shows (a distillation)

microphone like it’s a cigar, mic stand like it’s a cane
American communism’s crazy kindly old dictator
woman in yellow glow bangs on the glass
trumpet + pedals, then brown paper bag, don’t stop me now, I’m on a roll
crouch down and smile, jazzy noise band
we’re implicated we love it it was probably the artist’s line anyway
It smells like the islands in here. . . . It’s a good thing. . . .
I thought smoke machines
disinfectant, paper towels, granola bars from Costco-size boxes
drummer takes a picture of the sold-out hall
girls screaming and throwing red underwear on stage
Canadian invasion
Stella, Stella, and whiskey
