Rx

Tony tells me it all looks like
Golden grapes under the microscope lens,
Which makes me think of the Welch’s grape juice label,
But no! We’re talking about staph infection!
Boy, it itches!

Also, Tony’s not real; he’s a
Pseudonym for my other friend whose
Name is less poetic (which is something
Because Tony is not poetic at all!).
Poetic’s the sound of one hand scratching,
Just me and my doxycycline.
Everything’s redder after a shower.

“Apply cream from left to right,
Head to toe. Liberally.”
The Holy Trinity:
ANTI-BACTERIAL
ANTI-FUNGAL
ANTI-VIRAL
