buzzing beasts of morning
insects of the porch, the stream
creatures of the wood and fields
crow, snake, lizard, dove
meet my nakedness in the sun.

I scratch, the world shudders.
Tyrant of the day, lord of the stoop.


  1. Whitmanically expansive, expansively domestic! and makes me look forward to better weather (& wish I had a stoop.)

  2. I also wish I had a stoop. Why do we live in Brooklyn without stoops?!

    I declare Evan Lord of the Stoop! Wait, he already did....
