xiv. Aerial Landscapes

Trees communicate through fungal networks
That lace the ground. What can be overheard?

Starlings weave the sky in murmurations,
Without contact and without narration.

Clouds contort, caress, suffocate, sustain,
Billow, bathe, choke, break, creep, signal, arrange.

Phones drone across our contemporary,
Seaming deictic centers capillary.
